BACKGROUND

I am from Galway, Ireland. I received a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Galway, Ireland. In my PhD I investigated the impact of biomethane injection into the gas network and it’s use as a fuel for heavy duty vehicles, focusing on techno-economics and lifecycle assessment.

RESEARCH

At LAE my research focuses on modeling biomass and power-to-liquid sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) supply chains. This includes evaluation the potential for scale up, assessing the techno-economic impacts and evaluating the lifecycle environmental impacts.
