Marcos A Logrono

Research Assistant

BACKGROUND

I grew up in Añasco, a small town in the west coast of the island of Puerto Rico, and graduated from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 2021. That year I moved to Boston to pursue my graduate studies, obtaining a Master of Science in Aeronautics and Astronautics in 2024 from my work at the MIT Gas Turbine Lab. In my free time outside the lab, I enjoy traveling, playing basketball, and cooking.

RESEARCH

I am currently pursuing my PhD as part of the Atmospheric Impacts team at LAE. My research involves improving our understanding of gas turbine early plume physics and developing a reduced order version of LAE’s contrail model APCEMM for expedited testing.
