I was born and raised in Florianópolis, south of Brazil. I have two Bachelor’s Degrees: Management and Mechanical Engineering, with internships at Imperial College London, Bosch (Germany) and other institutions. I also have a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, where I worked on frost formation on airplane windows. I am currently a first-year Ph.D. student LAE-MIT. I am also passionate about education and entrepreneurship, so I am part of a Brazilian educational NGO, the MIT Women’s Graduate Association of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and the MIT Global Startup Workshop.
I am a Research Assistant pursuing a Ph.D. at LAE. I am currently working on Lifecycle Analysis (LCA), quantifying the impact of the greenhouse gases and pollutants emissions in the whole production pathway of biofuels. As part of my work, I am a member of the Alternative Fuels Task Force, a group created by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to help writing the policies that will soon regulate the fuels used in civil aviation.
