As a research assistant at the International Center for Air Transportation, I work closely with the research team in the Laboratory for Aviation and the Environment. My work here focuses on various aspects of air transportation system efficiency, optimization, modernization, and marketability. Ultimately, the work aims to inform regulatory, operational, and business policy as the world airline system confronts evolving challenges and opportunities. I am working toward a Ph.D. in Air Transportation Systems.

I grew up near Seattle, Washington, surrounded by the rich history and culture of commercial aviation in that region. My undergraduate work focused on general aerospace engineering concepts with extracurricular focus on low-speed aerodynamic testing, new flow visualization techniques, and N+3 airliner conceptual development.

Outside of lab, I enjoy motorcycling and flying light aircraft as a commercially rated pilot and certified flight instructor. I traveled around the world for a year before moving to Massachusetts for my current studies, visiting 15 countries on 3 continents.
