Fields: Environmental Impacts of Aviation

Former Lab Role: Research Intern [until 2013]

I am a freshman from West Hartford, Connecticut and currently a member of the MIT varsity soccer team. I am also a cadet in Army ROTC in the Paul Revere Battalion here at MIT. My work in the Laboratory for Aviation and the Environment will focus on the environmental impacts of air transportation systems, specifically in the case of the London Heathrow Airport (LHR) and the proposed Thames Estuary Airport. The goal of this project is to quantify the environmental impacts of pollution from LHR and provide an independent opinion as to the best course of action for the British Government considering both fiscal and environmental impacts.

Joseph left LAE in 2013.
