I am originally from Ankara, Turkey. Currently, I am working as a Postdoctoral Associate at the Laboratory for Aviation and the Environment evaluating the environmental and economic sustainability of converting biomass feedstocks to drop-in replacements for conventional jet fuel. My research primarily focuses on investigating and comparing the technical and economic feasibility of a number of such emerging biofuel technologies; and the environmental impacts of their implementation on global climate and air quality, and on our regional water resources. This collaborative research provides important outcomes that are highly relevant to academia and policy makers, alike, as it gives additional insight to pursuing different biofuel options.
