I come from Naples, Italy, where I obtained my Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering. Afterwards I specialized with a Masters degree in Aerodynamics at Delft University of Technology, in the Netherlands. Currently I am a Ph.D. candidate at the Laboratory for Aviation and the Environment at MIT. My research focuses on air quality and on the impact of aircraft condensation trails (contrails). The first part of my study aims to give an assessment of the current and future health impacts of different human activities in the US, accounting for different mitigation scenarios for the emissions in the future. The second part of my research aims to estimate the climate impact of condensation trails and contrail cirrus, and to eventually integrate the results in an air traffic management tool.
