My research interests are in air quality, meteorology and climate change. My current research includes air quality studies from global to local scale, particularly the air quality and health impacts due to combustion emissions in various regions. I am leading air quality research in the lab, including global and regional air quality modeling, inverse modeling and rapid assessment tools. I am also interested in meteorology/climate, particularly in interactions between weather/climate and aerosols, weather prediction as well as urban meteorology and climate. I am involved in a NASA-funded project developing a real time assessment tool to investigate emissions impacts of airports, in which I am focusing on weather forecasting as well as real time air quality modeling. My research also looks at mitigation of air pollution, including alternative energy options.
