My research interests focus on the environmental impacts of aviation, specifically the impacts on air quality. During my Masters research I studied regional air quality over the US due to aviation activity at US airports both under present-day conditions as well as future-year projected emissions scenarios. I also worked on integrated aviation policy analyses in the form of CAEP/8 NOx stringency and the implementation of ULS jet fuel, and was involved in the development of a rapid policy assessment tool (RSM) to quickly and efficiently quantify the air quality impacts of various national-level policy scenarios. Currently, I am involved in researching the multi-scale impacts of global aviation, as well as modeling the emissions and air quality impacts of US anthropogenic combustion sectors.  For my doctorate research I plan to look at the real-time air quality impacts of airport surface operations and mitigation options thereof.
